We will verify your health insurance coverage(s) that may cover some or all of the services to be performed. The Advanced Surgery Center at Brownwood will initiate contact with them to determine your cost-sharing responsibilities. Prior to surgery, someone from the center will contact you with your estimated cost-sharing out of pocket.
Upon request, a written estimate will be provided to you. This amount is due prior to or on the day of your surgery. Please remember to bring a form of payment with you. We accept cash, checks, major credit cards and care credit.

After surgery, the Advanced Surgery Center at Brownwood will submit your bill to your insurance company. Any additional financial responsibilities, above what was given as the estimate, will be balance billed to the patient.
The Advanced Surgery Center at Brownwood’s standard collection policy is to produce and send two statements to patients for their cost sharing amount. If payment is not received within 90 days of date of service, the balance will be turned over to collections.
NOTE: You will receive a separate bill from your doctor, anesthesiologist and/or pathologist.

Services may be provided in this healthcare facility by other healthcare providers who may separately bill the patient and who may or may not participate with the same health insurers or health maintenance organizations as the Advanced Surgery Center at Brownwood.

Out-of-Network
A patient receiving treatment at our facility who presents an insurance with which we are considered out-of-network may be eligible to receive an adjustment to their assigned out-of-network patient liability. This is, assuming our facility is not prohibited from offering out-of-network adjustments under state/Federal laws or your insurance company’s provisions.
If not prohibited, the application of any out-of-network discount is subject to vary based on a patient’s benefit coverage. Accounts which become delinquent may have the adjustment disallowed.
